Volunteer Application
Board of Directors and Committee Positions

The Bark at the Park, is a proud 501©(3) non-profit charity.

The Bark Committee and Board of Directors is made up of volunteers.

The Bark appreciates the Committee’s specialized areas of expertise as well as their dedication to the event.

Members of the Bark Committee and Board are expected to be at the event and participate in their designated areas.

Committee and Board Members share an animal welfare opinion, not animal rights.
Board and Committee Members are expected to be able to work together and be helpful to each other and with the City of Lancaster.

The Bark Committee meets virtually throughout the year. Early in the year, things can be quiet and we work on new ideas and reviewing the previous year’s event. As we get closer to the event date, things can become quite busy, depending on the job.

The BARK looks for volunteers able to make a long term commitment to the event.

The Bark is held on the first Saturday of October, 10am to 6pm, at Sgt. Steve Owen Memorial Park in Lancaster, CA. Bark Committee Members are expected to be available for BARK set-up the day of the BARK and the Friday before. There are also several days for pre-set-up tasks to be arranged, raffle baskets preparation, trailer preparation, etc..
